Process description of self-adhesive label
According to different types of materials, the process flow used in the daily production and life of the self-adhesive label is also different. Generally, the processing plant can formulate the printing process according to the requirements. Today we are going to understand the processing flow of the self-adhesive label:
A.Intermittent: There is no tension change when the roll paper is unrolled, so no adjustment is required. Used in flat and round flat labeling machines, the unwinding speed is slow. Because this type of equipment has no paper positioning and correction device, the end of the roll paper is required to be clean and tidy to ensure accurate overprinting during printing.
B.continuous type: used in the round-to-round labeling machine. Since the paper has tension changes when the diameter and speed of the roll paper changes, this device has automatic or manual tension control mechanisms, as well as a roll paper correction device to ensure smooth paper feeding and print quality.
Flat flattening: used in circular flattening and flat flattening labeling machines, with low speed.
Round pressing: applied to the round pressing round label printing machine, fast speed, continuous hot stamping, generally seldom used, generally use gold printing process instead of hot stamping.
Flat pressing: Suitable for small area, simple pattern printing, such as labels, bar codes, etc.
Round flattening: suitable for label printing with solid and general patterns, and can be used for simple color screen printing.
Round press circle is suitable for all kinds of pattern label printing, especially suitable for high-end color mesh label printing.
UV printing: In the above three printing methods, after UV drying, film adhesive materials can be printed.
4. Hot stamping first, then printing
Using common inks on equipment without UV drying, the disadvantage is that the design of printing patterns is limited.
Bronzing is applied to equipment with UV drying device. After the ink dries quickly, it is hot stamped on the ink. The hot stamping pattern can be designed arbitrarily. It is not limited by the ink. It is suitable for the printing of high-end labels. It is an advanced production technology.
Surface glazing: Coating a layer of varnish on the surface of the ink, the purpose is to protect the ink layer, moisture-proof, water-proof and improve the surface gloss. It can replace the laminating process and adopt the UV drying method.
Laminating on paper or film materials, the purpose is to protect the ink, waterproof, moisture-proof, increase the strength of the label, and increase the three-dimensional sense of the pattern. Laminating is divided into bottomed paper laminating and bottomless paper laminating. Due to the low cost of the latter, it is currently widely used. According to the requirements of the process, there are two kinds of composite transparent film and matt film, the former is more commonly used.
Mainly for computer-printed labels. The requirement is to punch positioning and driving holes on both sides of the label, or the label applied on the price gun, and it is required to punch a hole in the middle of the label for positioning and driving.
9. Die cutting
The die-cutting of the self-adhesive label is a half-cut process, that is, only the surface material is cut through and the backing paper is retained. Divided into two processing methods:
Such as flat die cutting, suitable for all kinds of label printers, manual plate making, low cost, short plate making cycle, but low viscosity, suitable for short-run printing processing. At present, almost all domestic label factories adopt flat die-cutting methods. The other is circular die-cutting, which is applied to circular press-round label equipment. It has fast speed and high die-cutting viscosity, which is suitable for long printing. The disadvantage is that the plate-making cost is large and the cycle is long. At present, the die-cutting rolls of domestic manufacturers are generally processed abroad.
10. Receiving paper
It can be roughly divided into cut sheet delivery and folding sheet delivery.
