How to check the authenticity of thermal paper

Time : 2022-09-22 Hits : 5

There are fake and shoddy products in thermal paper. In order to prevent you from being cheated by unscrupulous merchants, I will teach you how to check the authenticity of thermal paper.

Characteristics of fake and shoddy products:
The characteristics of these products are that the storage time of thermal paper is very short. Now, the coatings of some fake and shoddy products on the market are very thin, which can be easily damaged and affect the stability. If the storage environment is not good, these products may even be unusable once.

How to check the authenticity of thermal paper:

1. Color discrimination
According to Xiaobian's experience, if the thermal paper is found to be too white, it means that it is a product of serious Jerry building. Because the coating materials of the thermal paper are not pure white, the color of excessive white is realized by adding too much fluorescent agent. Like some copy papers, these additives will react with the thermal coating of the thermal paper to affect the stability of the barcode printer, and may also cause the thickness of the thermal coating not to meet the requirements, shortening the storage life of the printing effect. The surface of a good thermal paper should be slightly green or dark green. At the same time, the paper should be as smooth as possible, so that the consistency of product coating, barcode printer and stability are all good.

2. Heating method
When you are inspecting the goods, use a lighter to heat the back of the paper for a moment, and manually imitate printing (the thermal coating changes when heated). If the color of the heated part of the thermal paper changes very evenly, it means that the product is good. If the color is very light, the quantity of bar code printers of product quality is very general. If the surrounding temperature is relatively high and there is no lighter, you can paint on the paper with your nails. The color change effect of the scratched part can also provide reference for your purchase.
